Your dog is an individual - treat him like one!
We understand every dog and owner have different needs and tastes. That is why we let you have complete design control over your dog equipment.
Do you want a thumb hold on your leash instead of a standard handle? We can do that. You want multiple braided buttons on your lead, along with silver beads? We can do that too! Not very creative (or don't have the time to think about it) and want us to design your special leash? We LOVE the design job.
With our various options, there are too many to list on a website, so I have only listed the basics below.
STRAND COUNT
All kangaroo products can be braided with 4, 6, or 8 braided strands. The fewer the strands, the narrower the item. Larger dogs may require greater strands for strength and safety.
Or, more sensitive dogs may require a collar that is wider than 1/8 inch (4 strands). Also, think about the comfort of the leash in your hand and what the collar or lead will be used for.
All kangaroo items are braided around extremely strong, kevlar cores. Ends are secured via backbraiding around hardware.
Below pictures are NOT to scale.
4 strands - approximately 1/8" wide
6 strands - approximately 3/16" wide
8 strands - approximately 1/4" wide

BRAIDED BUTTONS
Even a plain kangaroo lead can be made extra special with the addition of a button at each end of the lead. Most buttons can be done with 2 colors, making it stand out even more.
Buttons can be added just about anywhere on your lead or collar. They can also be utilized inside bead combinations. However, adding TOO many buttons will make your item less flexible. Consider your use of the item when deciding how many buttons to add.
Spanish Ring knots - Narrow button (red knots on either end of the silver ferrule) used as an accent on the lead. It can be placed alongside either of the two larger buttons or in bead combinations. Can only be braided as a solid colored button.
Turk's Head button - Relatively short button (about 1/2" long) that can be used on collars or leads, either as a stand alone button or inside bead combinations. Can be braided as a solid or two-tone button.
Pineapple button - longest button (almost 1 1/2" long), normally placed on the ends of leashes or collars. Can also be used instead of a bead, as the focal point in a bead combination. This button can be braided as a solid or two-tone button.
